Red Oak is an unmistakably American hardwood, valued for its strength, warmth, and expressive grain. It gives Camelback Home furniture a substantial, welcoming appearance that feels equally at home in traditional and relaxed outdoor spaces.
The heartwood ranges from light tan and wheat to warm pinkish brown. Strong cathedral patterns, open pores, and visible growth rings create a lively grain that becomes more pronounced under warm-toned finishes.

Outdoor Performance and Care
Red Oak is strong and hard, but it does not have White Oak’s naturally moisture-resistant pore structure. A complete exterior-grade finish, prompt removal of standing water, breathable covers, and routine inspection and recoating are important. Covered or partially protected outdoor placement will provide the easiest long-term care.
